BIO

 Dr. Learie Lindsay recently joined South Dade Neonatology and will be beginning during the summer of 2012.  He was born in Trinidad & Tobago where he grew up, and went on to attend Medical School at the University of the West Indies, Jamaica where he received a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery degree. His clinical experience began as House Officer in Internal Medicine, Accident & Emergency Medicine, Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at Port of Spain General Hospital in Trinidad, West Indies.   He then went on to complete his Residency in Pediatrics at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York.  He then finished his fellowship in Neonatology at the New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.  Dr. Lindsay has practiced at the prestigious Advocate Christ Medical Center in Illinois and most recently was the Director of Neonatology at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.  His professional membership includes the American Academy of Pediatrics. He also is a Regional Trainer for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program. He is duly certified in both Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal medicine. During his spare time Dr. Lindsay enjoys spending time outdoors and is an avid sports enthusiast.
